Stephen Dobbie – Player’s Player Of The Year At QOS

As Saturday’s game marked the end of the season, Queen of the South supporters groups presented their annual Player of the Year and Goal of the Season awards.  

STEPHEN DOBBIE was the biggest winner as he collected NINE Player of the Year Trophies.

He was voted the best player by the Junior Blues members, The Devorgilla Doonhamers, The Disabled Supporters Association, Mid Annandale Doonhamers, Barflies, New Bazaar Doonhamers and The Travel Club who choose him as their POY and Away Day POY.  Dobbs who scored 26 goals this season was also honored by his team-mates who for the first time, voted for their POY. Stephen topped the vote with Kyle Jacobs coming second and Jordan Marshall third.

The striker also picked up awards from the Devorgilla Doonhamers and the Travel Club for GOAL of the Season for his strike against Ayr United. 

Other award winners were:

KYLE JACOBS and JORDAN MARSHALL who both picked up two awards each.  Ky was voted Player of the Year by The Globe Inn (Howff) Doonhamers and The Junior Members of the Travel Clubwhile Jordan was voted best young player of the season by Barflies and The Travel Club. 

DARREN BROWNLIE was the other player rewarded as he collected the Devorgilla Doonhamers Young Player of the Year Award.
