Dumfries Ladies Represented In Western Allsorts – Cricket

Dumfries Cricket Club were represented in the Western Allsorts regional team in their match against Gordon Watson College Cricket Club in the Cricket Deal Womens Premier League national competition.

The league has been established by Cricket Scotland to provide competitive opportunities and a pathway through to national representative honours.  Dumfries Cricket Club were very excited to have 3 people selected for the West team which includes clubs from Glasgow, Ayr, Lanarkshire’s and Dumfries and Galloway.

Sue Strachan, Magaret Miller and Rosy Ryan took to the pitch for what turned out to be a close game down at Dumfries Sports Club, Nunholm.  It was an excellent game with the ball flying to all parts of the ground and Western Allsorts put up a very competitive total.  It was Rosy Ryan who shone with the ball taking 3 wickets for just 18 runs, which restricted the opposition and enabled the Western Allsorts to earn their first victory of the season.
