Advance Warning Of Drainage Works On The A701

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential drainage works on the A701 between St. Ann’s and Tathill from Monday 20th September until Sunday 8th October 2021. Work will take place during the hours of 7am and 6pm, each day.

This scheme, with a value of £159,000, will benefit around 4,845 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the drainage on the carriageway to prevent water pooling, which will extend the life of the pavement and increase safety.

The works will require daytime Temporary Traffic Lights with a predicted journey delay of 2 minutes. Each 300m Temporary Traffic Light set up will be implemented at 7am and lifted at 6pm each day.

Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
