Brigend Theatre’s ‘The Baker’s Wife’ Gets Help From The Little Bakery, Dumfries

Cast members of Dumfries Musical Theatre Company are busy rehearsing for the ‘The Baker’s Wife’ and The Little Bakery are providing some authentic props.

19th – 26th November 2022 at 7.30pm, with a matinee at 2.30pm on Sunday 20th November.

 

Local baker Kerr Little is providing fresh bread and bakery props for the show.

The bickering residents of a rural village in Provence, France in 1935 have been without a baker for seven weeks. They finally find peace and contentment in the new baker, Aimable, and his attractive young wife, Genevieve. However, when Genevieve is lured away by a handsome young chauffeur, the middle-aged baker loses all zest for life and baking. When he refuses to bake, the villagers must work as a team to bring Aimable and Genevieve back together…
