FREE Warm Winter Clothes Events

Do you need any warm winter clothes this winter? Throughout November, Dumfries and Galloway Council will be running events across the region where theyt are inviting families and individuals to come along and help themselves to some free warm winter clothes.

A Spokesperson said “We have a huge range of clothes in various sizes for both adults and children including, coats, jackets, jumpers, hoodies, cardigans, jeans and some pyjamas.
In addition, at our Dumfries Events we will also be giving away FREE School Uniforms including branded sweatshirts, polo shirts, trousers, skirts and shirts.
Our FREE Warm Winter Clothes Events will be held on the following dates and times:
• Saturday 12 November 2022, 11am–3pm – Ryan Centre, Fairhurst Road, Stranraer
Saturday 12 November 2022, 9am–12 noon – Newstart Recycle, Provost Mill, North Queensberry Street, Annan
• Sunday 13 November 2022, 11am–3pm – Castle Douglas Community Centre, Cotton Street, Castle Douglas
This year we will be opening up a Pop-Up Shop in Dumfries where we will be giving away free warm winter clothes and free school uniform. Please visit us at our Pop-Up Shop in ‘The Press’ (across from the Midsteeple), High Street, Dumfries on the following dates:
• Thursday 24 November 2022, 9.30am–5pm
• Friday 25 November 2022, 9.30am–7.30pm
You can also visit Action for Children, Kirkfield, Greystone Avenue in Kelloholm who are one of our permanent school uniform and warm winter clothes banks and are open all year round.”
