Make Your Voice Heard! Strengthening Our Region Event.

Local charity and Humanitarian Movement Massive Outpouring of Love (MOOL) has been working hard over the past three years to make Dumfries and Galloway a more welcoming, inclusive and accepting place to live, work, and thrive.

They would like to warmly invite you to join them at their upcoming ‘Strengthening Our Region’ symposium where their recent Community Survey will be unpacked and, together, we develop ideas which will benefit everyone who lives here, and further strengthen community bonds.

Trustee Jay Rubinstein said “We have been working on outreach and engagement across the region in order to try and get a true idea of local attitudes towards people who choose to make the area their home, so that we can then tailor the work that needs to be done to ease people’s fears and address their misconceptions. We have also tried to find out how people who have moved to the area feel, what issues they have faced, and what our next steps should be to improve their experience.

Our aim is to make life better for everyone across the region and we’d love you to help us make that a reality. If you have any friends or colleagues that you feel would be well placed to contribute to this conversation and discussion then please extend this invitation across your networks.”

Strengthening Our Region will take place on Thursday 29th November 2018 at The Cairndale Hotel, Dumfries. Refreshments and registration will begin at 10:30am for a prompt 11am event start.

Lunch will be provided and the day is expected to wrap up around 2pm. However, there may be scope for an additional training and discussion session relating to Hate Crime after this, if there is significant interest.

This event is free but places are limited. The venue is fully accessible.

*IMPORTANT* Please message e[email protected] to secure your place and advise of any dietary requirements. In addition, please indicate if you would be interested in Hate Crime training.

There is Facebook Event page, and more details can be found at www.mool.scot

There’s still time for you to add your voice to the Community Survey!

Please encourage your friends, family and colleagues to take part too. We want you to be completely honest so we can capture a true reflection of the attitudes in our area.
