Police Thank ‘Lost Dogs’ Facebook Group For Kind Donation

Following a recent fundraiser on Lost Dogs Dumfries and Galloway group, a generous amount of money was raised to purchase bedding for the police kennels across the region.

A police Spokesperson said “The material of the bedding; which is recommended by vets; is soft, warm, cosy, hard wearing and suitable for dogs of all ages.

The soft material keeps the heat in and also drains any moisture away, keeping the dogs warm and dry.

In addition, some dog food and treats were also delivered to make sure any stray dogs and lost/found dogs who arrive for a sleepover at the stations, have something to keep them going.

Thank you very much to everyone involved in the fundraiser and for the kind donation. The dogs will feel warm, safe and comfortable during their visit/stay in our kennels.”
