21 YEAR OLD MAN INJURED IN DUMFRIES ASSAULT

 

Serious assault – Dumfries

Police Scotland officers in Dumfries are seeking witnesses to an assault which took place at around 0250 hours on Sunday 13 December 2015 near to the Argos store in Church Place in the town centre. A 21 year old man from Thornhill was assaulted at this time and as a result received injuries to his nose and mouth. The assailant is described as being male, in his mid 20s, stocky build, short dark straight hair and was wearing a reindeer patterned bright red Christmas jumper and grey trousers. He spoke with a local accent. Two other men accompanied this man, one being about 5’7″ tall, slim build, long brown hair, shaved at the sides and back and was wearing a black coloured t-shirt and dark jeans. The third man is only described as being about 5’7″ tall, slim build with curly hair.

Constable Victoria Unwin at Dumfries said this assault took place when the street was busy with people coming out of a nearby nightclub and we are sure that there would witnesses to the assault. The victim received a serious injury to his face in the attack and we would ask anyone who may have seen what happened to get in touch with us at Dumfries through the 101 number.
