Darts crazy cousins ‘John Bean McNally’ 29 from Kirkcudbright and ‘Ian Briggs’ 24 from Twynholm recently set them selves a 24 hour Dartathon challenge to raise money for two charities that are very close to their hearts, ‘The Respiratory Unit at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary’ and ‘The Fishermans Mission’.
John and Ian threw their darts for 24 hours at the Burn Bank in Twynholm and managed to raise an amazing £2182.30 for their two chosen charity’s, the respiratory unit ward at DGRI because Johns dad has lung disease and is currently a patient there, and ‘The Fisher-mans Mission’ which has helped do a lot for the family of Steven Ned Roberts , Steven was a close friend to the two cousins and sadly lost his life to the sea 4 years ago.”
John told DGWGO ” The Dartathon was sore on the arms, and went everyone left the pub at midnight the time really dragged, but with raising so much it ws totally worth it. We would both like to thank everyone that supported us and donated, and all the local business that gave raffle prizes, plus we would especially like to thank the team at the Burn Bank for looking after us so well. “
Hello we raised a total of £2182.30 for the 2 charitys
