A man who died in a crash involving a single vehicle on the A74(M) near Moffat has been named as Thomas Hein, 25, from Baden-Württemberg in Germany.
Mr Hein was the driver and sole occupant of an HGV which was involved in a crash near junction 15 around 2.05pm on Friday, 14 July.
The road was closed to allow for an investigation and reopened around 3am the following day.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information which has not yet been passed to police can call 101, quoting reference 1888 of 14 July.
