£8000 WORTH OF GOODS AND CASH TAKEN IN KIRKGUNZEON HOUSE BREAK-IN

Police Scotland is investigating a high value housebreaking which happened sometime between 1330 hours and midnight on Saturday 26 September 2015.

Whilst the occupants were out of the house, a break-in occurred at a house in Kirkgunzeon and a number of watches valued at nearly £3000 and cash in excess of £5000 was taken. Detective Constable Gregg Armstrong of Police Scotland at Dumfries said “this appears to be a targeted break-in and has taken place whilst the occupants were out.

Some of the cash taken was money raised as part of a charity boxing night. We are conducting door to door enquiries in the area and ask that anyone who was in Kirkgunzeon on Tuesday afternoon or evening to get in touch if they saw or heard anything which might help with this investigation. Calls can be made through the 101 number, or if they want to remain anonymous, then through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111”
