Around 3.45pm on Sunday, 28 January, 2024, the body of man was found in the Dalswinton area of Dumfries.
Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of missing man Dane McGill has been informed.
There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
