VICIOUS DOG ATTACK LEADS TO INJURY ON ANNAN HIGH STREET

Dog attack – Annan

Police Scotland officers in Annan are investigating a dog attack which happened on the High Street, near to the Cumberland Building Society office at around 1430 hours on Monday 22 February 2016. At that time a woman who was walking a black coloured labrador dog came across a female going in the opposite direction, walking what was described as a white coloured bull dog. As the two dogs passed the bull dog has attacked the labrador biting it on the face. The woman with the labrador, assisted by some passers by intervened in order to get the bull dog to release its grip on the labrador, during which she received a cut to her hand. A later examination of the labrador dog by a vet found numerous cuts to it nose and face.

Constable Louise Bryden at Annan said “this appears to have been a particularly vicious attack by this white bull dog on the labrador and we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the vicinity to get in touch with us at Annan on the 101 number. Likewise we would ask the woman who was walking the bull dog to come forward in order to help with this investigation.”
