Dumfries and Galloway Council has announced that they have set up a one-stop-shop webpage for households and businesses affected by the severe flooding that took place in the region in late December 2022.

The webpage, which can be found at https://www.dumgal.gov.uk/Flood-Recovery-Support, serves as a starting point for anyone affected by the flooding, providing information and signposting to all the help and support available from the Council and its partners.

The webpage collates information that people will find useful in one place, including grants and support for householders, help with council tax and housing benefit, support for businesses, the availability of bulky uplifts, and flooding information and advice from the Council and other organisations.

There are also sections on the scale of the flood and what the Council, working closely with its partners, is doing to help businesses and householders. The announcement stated that the webpage will be updated regularly and posted on the Council’s social media channels.
