Grass Fire Breaks Out At Kirkcudbright MOD Range

The MOD have issued a warning to the public as a large cloud of smoke spreads over part of the Stewartry area, that they have an ongoing fire on the training area near to Dundrennan, Kirkcudbright. 

A Spokesperson for the MOD stated “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are aware and have been in attendance.  The fire is an area that presents no risk to life or property and we will continue to monitor the fire and react accordingly.”

The smoke can be seen as far away as Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie
