VALUABLE JEWELLERY & WAR MEDALS STOLEN IN DUMFRIES HOUSE RAID

Police Scotland officers in Dumfries are investigating yet another high value housebreaking at a home in the town.  This time a house in Loganbarns Road in Dumfries was broken into sometime between Monday 16 and Wednesday 18 May 2016 while it was vacant.  Jewellery running into thousands of pounds and a number of German Second World War medals have been stolen in the raid.

Constable Scott McDowall at Dumfries said “here we have a second house this week broken into in the town while the occupants were away from home.  Again, jewellery appears to have been the target for the thieves.  We need the help of the public to help catch those responsible and I would urge anyone who has seen or heard anything suspicious to get in touch through the 101 number.
