The wonderfully talented Kate Kaye from Castle Douglas was spotted at Kelton Nursery coffee morning on Saturday, working as hard as ever selling raffle tickets and chatting enthusiastically to everyone. Kate is a well known character across the region for her bubbly personality, fantastic Burns speeches and dedication to children.
In fact this year is her 45th year of service to Kelton Playgroup where she is loved by so many. Chairperson Angela Murray said, ‘Kate’s dedication to children and families over 45 years is an amazing achievement and she is loved far and wide across the Stewartry.’
Councillor Pauline Drysdale added, ‘Kate’s enthusiasm and humour rubs off on everyone she meets. I’d like to congratulate her on all of her hard work and dedication to so many over the years. Children of all ages adore her and this is as she is one of those people that you never forget!’
