Lockerbie Customer Service Centre was proud to welcome over 22 children to the presentation of this year‘s Summer Reading Challenge. These young readers took up the challenge of completing 6 books over their summer holidays. The children participated enthusiastically, collecting stickers, wristbands and keyrings along the way.
In celebration of their achievement they were presented with Summer Reading Challenges’ Record Breakers certificate and medal. Well done to all and we look forward to welcoming you at next year’s challenge!
Chair of the Customer Services Committee, Councillor Tom McAughtrie said: “One of the Councils main priorities is to provide the best start in life for all our Children and that comes through encouraging children to read from an early age. These young readers have done enormously well over the summer and should all be very proud of their achievement.”
