Man Caught with £200,000 of Cannabis on A74(M) Lockerbie

Drugs with an estimated street value of £200,000 have been recovered by Police Scotland after a car was stopped in Dumfries and Galloway.

Road policing officers based at Lockerbie stopped a grey Toyota Avensis around 11.10am on Saturday, 9 May, 2020 on the A74(M) northbound carriageway near junction 15 at Moffat. Further enquiries led them to discover drugs within the car, believed to be cannabis, with a maximum street value of £200,000.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation to the incident. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
