MAN TRIES TO ENTER STRANRAER PENSIONERS HOME WHILE THEY IN BED

Intruder – Stranraer

Police Scotland is investigating the report of an intruder who was disturbed trying to gain entry to a house in West End Terrace in Stranraer.  The incident happened at around 0230 hours on Friday 25 March 2016 when a retired couple were awoken by the sound of what appeared to be a man, dressed in black with a hood up, attempting to gain entry to the house through the bedroom window.  The man fled when challenged by the occupiers and no entry was gained.

Constable James Donnelly at Stranraer said “we have been carrying out door to door enquiries in an attempt to locate witnesses and want to hear from anyone in the area if they have any information which might help identify this man.  This must have been a frightening experience for the couple and we want to catch the man responsible before he tries this again.  Callers should use the 101 number to contact police at Stranraer.”
