MOFFAT HOME ROBBED WHILE OWNERS IN.

Police officers in Moffat are investigating what appears to be a sneak-in theft at a house in Grange Road in Moffat at around 1615 hours on Saturday 14 November 2015. Around this time it appears that whilst the occupiers were in the house, someone has entered without being seen and stolen cash and jewellery from the house. The total value of property stolen is over £1000 and includes a number of gents and ladies watches, rings and necklaces.

Constable Lisa Duff said “we have a description of a man who was seen walking near the house around this time and we would very much like to speak to this man. He is described as being about 5’6″/5’8” tall, wearing black coloured smart trousers, a speckled tweed style brown coat, mid length, had dark hair and wore a black beret type hat. We are also appealing to other householders in the area to get in touch with us if they have had any suspicious activity at or near their homes over the weekend.
