Multiple Emergency Services Called To Dramatic Cliff Rerscue

Multiple Emergency Services were called to assist with a report of a Road Traffic Collision having occurred on the A77 North of Cairnryan, resulting in a vehicle coming to rest partially down a steep cliff above Loch Ryan.

Stranraer RNLI Stated “Once on scene the Lifeboat stood by as the occupants were rescued by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Also in attendance were Police Scotland, Scottish Ambulance Service, and HM Coastguard Search & Rescue teams from Stranraer, Ballantrae, Portpatrick and Drummore.

All occupants were removed safely, with no serious injuries reported.
Lifeboat stood down, rehoused and made ready for service at 19.20 hours
