On Thursday the 13th of July a person was rescued from The River Nith in Dumfries by Emergency services. The incident took place just after lunch time, next to the Devorgilla Bridge at the Whitesands area.
River Rescue units from Nith Inshore rescue plus Fire and Rescue, Police and Ambulance personnel were all in attendance during the rescue.
The person was taken to hospital afterwards to be checked over.
