At around 2 am on Tuesday morning 1st September, Police Scotland received a report that a white golf buggy was being driven on the A75 towards Newton Stewart with no lights on and 2 males within.
Officers attended and traced the golf buggy and the 2 males a short time later at Doonhill Wood.
Both males were arrested and conveyed to Loreburn Street Police Station, Dumfries.
A number of enquiries were carried out by local officers where it was established the males had committed a number of crimes including vandalism, theft and drink driving to name but a few.
The two males, who were 17 and 21 years old, were later interviewed and charged with the relevant offences. They remained in Police custody and appeared at Dumfries Sheriff Court this morning.
