Dumfries and Galloway V Division report another successful stop on the A74M motorway. Around 4.30 pm on 14 January 2016, a vehicle was stopped travelling north near to Johnstonebridge.
The vehicle occupant was found to be a 51 year old male from London. Officers suspected that the vehicle may contain controlled drugs and upon searching the vehicle they discovered 4 Kilogrammes of what is thought to be cannabis with a street value of approximately £40000.
Divisional Road Policing Inspector Neil Hewitson states “The male will appear at Court in Dumfries as a result of this excellent stop.”
