Portpatrick RNLI Tow Stricken Fishing Vessel To Safety

The Portpatrick Coastguard team  were paged by Belfast Coastguard CGOC at 3.49pm yesterday, Saturday the 13th of May 2017 to assist a 9.9 m angling charter vessel with 8 persons on board that had both props fouled.

The vessel was One mile north of Portpatrick. The Portpatrick Coastgaurd team Kept visual and communications with the broken down boat while Portpatrick RNLI Lifeboat launched and took the vessel under tow.

Bringing the charter boat and passengers to safety at Portpatrick Harbour. Where the Coastguard team met the casualty vessel assisted  with Mooring.
