We work with Employers, young people, schools, third sector organisations, employment agencies, job centres, charities, qualifications authorities and skills development Scotland with regard to Modern Apprenticeships in Dumfries and Galloway.
We feel that there is not enough information out there or people don’t always know where to look. This in mind we felt it would benefit the local area of Dumfries and Galloway if we built a central web page to fill in the blanks for people who wanted to know more. So we are looking for local input from Employers, young people, parents, schools, Guidance trachers, job centres, charities, etc. What do you need to find out.
Some of my own thoughts are below but what do you feel are the most asked questions by the following groups as I say I have put a couple of examples next to each but there will be many more questions I’m sure you will come up with.
Employeers might ask (funding, hours , pay etc)
Young people might ask( qualification scqf rating, provision of evidence etc)
Schools might ask (age apprenticeship can start, career types etc)
Parents might ask ( son or daughters wage, affect on tax credits etc)
Job centres might ask ( double funding, age restrictions)
Im sure you can all think of so much more we would appreciate your input
