TWO LOCAL SPORTS CLUBS GET BROKEN INTO OVER THE WEEKEND

Break-in – Langholm Golf Club
Police Scotland Officers in Langholm are investigating a break into the golf clubhouse in the town sometime overnight Thursday 28/Friday 29 April 2016.  At this time it appears that only cash was taken in the raid.

Constable Helen Thomas said “the golf club in the town sits in an elevated position above the town and is quite secluded.

We want to hear from anyone who may have been around the area of the golf club over this period to get in touch with us through the 101 number if they saw or heard anything suspicious.”

Break-in – Kello Rovers Football Club
A Kawasaki make petrol strimmer has been stolen from a shed at a break-in which happened at Kello Rovers Football Club, Needle Street, Kelloholm, sometime between Wednesday 27 April and Sunday 1 May 2016.

Constable Jim Bell at Sanquhar said “the strimmer is valued at around £300 and we have been carrying out door to door enquiries in the area.  We want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious around the area of the football ground between Wednesday and Sunday. Anyone with any information should call us at Sanquhar on 101.
