STRANRAER RNLI RESCUE FAMILY OF 3 AND THEIR DOG


At 12.39 pm  on the 26th of August  Stranraer Lifeboat was launched on service to aid 3 persons cut off by tide at Piltanton near Glenluce in Lucebay.

2 adults  and 1 child and a dog , had become stranded and cut off by the fast moving tide .

The lifeboat was towed by road, to Wigtownshire Golf Club by Landrover and was in the water by 1.00pm , and was on scene within 5 minutes, where the casualties were put on board the DSC_0354 lifeboat and taken back to the launch site. where they were passed over to the awaiting Stranraer Coastguard team.

 

All 3 including the dog was glad to be safe ashore.
Lifeboat was recovered and rehoused made ready for service @1400hrs
