Celebrate World Book Night with Your Nearest D&G Library

World Book Night is an annual celebration of reading and books. It sees passionate volunteers gift specially printed books in their communities to share their love of reading with people who, for whatever reason, don’t read for pleasure or own books.

The Library Service is celebrating World Book Night at 5 free events across the region with guest writers, poets and storytellers.

Councillor Tom McAughtrie commented “World Book Night is fantastic opportunity for everyone to enjoy reading by trying a new author, rediscovering the pleasure of books or to be inspired to read something new by meeting some of our local authors and poets”.
