CELEBRITY ANTIQUE EXPERTS ARE BACK IN D&G BY POPULAR DEMAND

Two of television’s favourite antiques dealers have arrived in Dumfries & Galloway today August 2nd on the lookout for antiques, gold and silver.

Simon Schneider and Tim Hogarth regularly appear on television and are highly trusted and respected for their knowledge and expertise. The antiques experts are returning to the region due to popular demand and will are appearing at The Midsteeple in Dumfries on Thursday 3 August, at The Soaperie Gardens, as part of the Arts & Crafts Trail in Kircudbright on Friday 4 August and The Douglas Arms Hotel in Castle Douglas on Saturday 5 August 2017.

The dealers are inviting both new and former clients to come along to meet them and cash in on their unwanted antiques and forgotten treasures.

Tim Hogarth told DGWGO “Simon and I had a great response last time we visited Dumfries & Galloway and have many satisfied customers in the area. We are very happy to be returning and hope to unearth some unusual and interesting items.”
Simon Schneider added: “The antiques business is very strong at the moment and we will pay top cash prices for gold, silver and quality items similar to those illustrated.”

Tim and Simon deal extensively in general antiques and have complimentary areas of specialism, enabling them to cover all aspects of the antiques business and offer the best prices for those items they wish to purchase. Tim Hogarth is greatly respected for his expertise dealing and appraising diamond jewellery and deals extensively in vintage watches and medals.

Tim said “Diamond jewellery is very much in demand as is period jewellery from the 1930s to 1950s is very popular and I have keen customers waiting for good examples, regardless of condition. I am also keen to purchase vintage wrist watches, the big names, Rolex, Cartier and Omega, are all selling well and this is a great time to cash in on similar items.”
“The market for medals is also very good at the moment and some examples, especially from the First World War, are making higher prices than ever.”

Simon Schneider is highly trusted and widely acknowledged as an expert in 20th Century decorative antiques and also deals extensively in antique silver.

Simon Said “Tim and I are both keen to spend, spend, spend! The market for gold and silver is still very strong and we will be offering top prices for items even if broken. Where Tim loves his diamonds, watches and medals, I am very keen to buy quality examples from the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods as well as fine period silver. The demand for silver tea sets, trays, trophies snuff boxes and similar items is very strong, particularly for the larger examples.”
“I also have strong demand for good quality ceramics. Royal Worcester, Moorcroft, Shelley and Clarice Cliff are all selling well and the interest in Chinese and oriental antiques is huge.”

The dealers are looking forward to meeting as many people as possible and will be paying top cash prices.
