Feel, With Grant Dinwoodie To Play At The Monsters Ball

In a change to scheduled line-up of entertainment at the Monsters Ball 2016 at Comlongon Castle, top local band ‘FEEL’ will be performing an exclusive first gig with new frontman, Grant Dinwoodie.

Well known locally for his raw talent and charismatic on-stage performance, the star of the Big Burns Supper’s sell-out ‘Le Haggis’ show is joined by his former bandmates from Sparo & The Yahs – Fergus Henderson (drums/percussion) and Ali Paxton (guitar/trumpet), who along with Owen Fielding (keys) and Howard Bradley (bass/backing vocals) make up FEEL’S new line-up.

‘FEEL’, or as they call themselves, “the Funksters”, play a unique blend of funk, soul, blues and groovy jazz classics from an eclectic set of greats from the likes of Stevie Wonder, The Doobie Brothers, Michael Jackson, Spencer Davis Group, Chicago, K.C. and The Sunshine Band, Miles Davis, The Doors and the father of funk himself, James Brown… and many more!  One review on the band’s Facebook page says it all; “You guys absolutely blew us away and we couldn’t stop our dancing feet!!!”

The Monsters Ball 2016 will be the band’s first official gig with frontman Grant and organisers are thrilled to have them debut at the event.  Their fresh, funky sounds are sure to get you up dancing!

So if you like to boogie, don’t miss your chance to see this exclusive gig!  You are invited you to come and experience the FEEL good factor – so ‘Get On Up’, and party with us at the castle on 29th October!

Tickets available from www.dumfriesmonstersball.co.uk/buy-tickets or from the Midsteeple Box Office.

A bus from the Whitesands has been organised to transport guests to and from Comlongon Castle.  For more information about the event can be found on the Monsters Ball facebook page at www.facebook.com/dumfriesmonstersball.  All proceeds from the event go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
