The end of season motor sport spectacle, the Race Of Champions (ROC), is giving budding DJ/producers and musicians a unique opportunity to have their original track heard by millions with its new ROC Soundtrack competition.
Taking place in front of the crowds at the former Olympic Stadium in Stratford London over 20-21 November, the event will be televised live to viewers around the world, where the winning track will be played throughout, giving the type of money-can’t-buy exposure upcoming talent can only dream about.
MOBO award-winning singer/songwriter Ella Eyre, who has today been confirmed as one of the drivers to compete in the ROC Celebrity Skills Challenge presented by TAG Heuer against the likes of Olympians Chris Hoy and Ben Ainslie at this year’s event, has also lent her support to the competition, taking a role in judging the finalists.
“It’s great that an event as big as this is helping to discover up-and-coming music talent,” said Eyre.
“These are the sorts of opportunities any young artist needs. It’s a test for musicians and producers to work to a brief too, getting the right vibe for motor sport, hitting the right tempo and still making a track that people want to hear. It’s the type of thing I would have jumped at!”
The only stipulations for entries are that tracks must be the artist’s own work, must include the words ‘ROC’ and ‘Race Of Champions’ and should be less than three minutes long.
The artist that meets those criteria and is judged to be the best will not only win fantastic levels of exposure, they will also receive:
o 4x VIP tickets to the Race Of Champions
o A one-night stay in the Shangri-La hotel in London’s Shard
o Opportunity to DJ for a 30 minute slot at the exclusive afterparty

With big names in the motor sport world such as four-time F1 Champion Sebastian Vettel, reigning ROC Champion of Champions David Coulthard and Infiniti Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo all taking part, and a host of celebrities joining in the fun, it will be an event not to forget, especially for the winning ROC Soundtrack artist.
