2MANYDJS

2manydjs are a huge name in the clubbing and festival arena but for the uninitiated it’s the creation of brothers David and Stephen Dewaele (Soulwax). Pioneers of the mashup scene, they have every trick in their DJ bag, mixing prog rock to RnB, from trendy hip hop to banging German Techno. They have had 8 singles in the UK singles chart and their album ‘As Heard on Radio Soulwax Pt.2’ was named the best popular music album of 2002 by the New York Times.

CAT POWER

Critics have noted the constant evolution of Cat Power’s sound, with a mix of punk, folk and blues on her earliest albums, and elements of soul and other genres more prevalent in her later material. Her 2012 album Sun incorporated electronica, in a self-proclaimed move from the “really slow guitar songs” she initially wrote for the album. She has worked alongside the biggest in the music industry collaborating with Dave Grohl, Faithless, Yoko Ono and Beck.

AGNES OBEL

Denmark’s Agnes Obel is an award winning musician with two platinum selling albums under her belt and about to achieve her third with her recently released album ‘Citizens of Glass’. She is a top five artist in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark, as well as having two singles in the UK album charts. One of the most exciting and current acts that Eden Festival has hosted, she will be bringing her female classically trained band; expect keys, cello’s, drums and clarinets, and Agnes Obel’s stunning vocals.

KISMET

A little bit of Bollywood will be appearing at Eden too in the form of Kismet, a six-piece band fusing funky, bhangra, reggae and rock.

Eden Co- Director Meredith Langley Vine “We can’t believe the amazing amount of talented and revered artists coming to this year’s Eden Festival, it really is starting to attract a stampede of established acts as the festival grows and evolves.”
