Free Bank Holiday Weekender Taking Place in Loreburn Hall

Audiences will be welcomed into Loreburn Hall for the venue’s first live event of the year as organisers of Big Burns Supper present a three-day, free event to celebrate the bank holiday weekend.

Opening on Friday 29 th April at 3pm, the weekend will be host to a variety of local bands and tribute bands across three different venues.

The Marley Experience are a 7 piece band, the ultimate tribute to Bob Marley and the Wailers, covering all of the classic hits and sing along songs.

  • The completely free weekend of live music will be taking place over Friday 29th April to Sunday 1st May
  • There will be 52 tribute and local bands performing over the three days
  • Audiences will be able to explore different artists across three venues in the Loreburn Hall

The Complete Stone Roses are no stranger to Dumfries, having played in the Spiegeltent in January 2018. The most coveted Stone Roses tribute band have been playing together for over a decade, touring all over the world, to sell out audiences.

Rocketman – the UK’s number one Elton John act, has been seen globally with rave reviews, and is a life-like tribute to the man himself, including authentic replica costumes, a baby grand piano, and those classic Elton glasses.

Abba Revival will be making a return to Dumfries after their last performance at Big Burns Supper 2019. The band’s full featured, interactive show encapsulates the sights and sounds of Abba, fully reproducing hit after hit.

Mercury: Queen Tribute Band are celebrating their 20 th anniversary.

Their choreographed stage show includes stardom, showmanship and energetic performances together with excellent musicianship, beautifully crafted harmonies and intricate guitar work.

The Marley Experience at 11pm

Saturday 30th April features:

The Mindsweepers at 2pm
Deacon Blues at 3.30pm
Hells Bells at 5pm
Simple Minded at 7pm
Love Distraction at 9pm
The Complete Stone Roses at 11pm

Sunday 1st May features:

Under Neon at 5pm
Rocketman at 7pm
Abba Revival at 9pm
Mercury: Queen Tribute Band at 11pm

Each day will have lots of other local acts across the 11 hour sessions.

The Loreburn Hall features three unique venues including the main stage, our Le Haggis Lounge which is space to enjoy unique cabaret and jazz experiences, and our Studio Space for those magical, intimate performances.

As well as a three venue experience, the venue holds four different bars including a gin bar, a cask ale bar, and a cocktail lounge.
