A Galloway musical collective ‘Lost Wasp Records’ has recently launched a new podcast featuring Gatehouse songwriter Alan of Galloway.
In the first edition Alan introduces some of his own music, but future editions will feature conversations with some of D+G’s best songwriters and musicians. Artists will have the chance to discuss their inspirations, introduce listeners to their music and (perhaps) quaff a few local beverages in the process. Lost Wasp hope the podcasts will bring the little-known world of South Western Indie music to a wider – perhaps even international – audience. They also, somewhat optimistically, hope that local brewers and distillers will be happy to provide the liquid inspiration as sponsorship: however this aspect of the enterprise is as yet untested. Have a listen and spread the word – Dumfries and Galloway is alive with music!
