Knockengorroch World Ceilidh music festival 2018 launches with a “Rivers of Music” theme.
And enchants a wide range of music lovers from May 24 to 27th (2018), beside a glittering river in the hills of near New Galloway, South West Scotland (near Carsphairn, Dumfries & Galloway).
A spokesperson from the festival said ” We are pleased to announce our theme for 2018. RIVERS of life, of music, of Knockengorroch! We’ll be paying homage to the Deugh and the Bo – the rivers which run through our festival site and on which humans have depended for (merely) thousands of years. We’ll be celebrating during the festival with rivery installations and streamlined outfits. From kelpy to siren to fisherman to fish all are encouraged to reflect this glittering inspiration.”
“Festival goers are encouraged to dress up as river related characters, matching the colourful ceildh’s “the rivers that run through the hills and valleys” theme, reflected in the site’s eye-catching scenic setting and installations.
