Youth Beatz Announces Brand New Kidz Zone for 2018 Festival Weekend!

Dumfries and Galloways Youth Beatz Festival is excited to announce that, as part of the expanded programme as part of Scotland’s Year of Young People 2018, there is a brand new Youth Beatz Kidz zone for the first time at the event! On Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July at the events new venue of Park Farm Showfield in Dumfries, children will be entertained by fantastic headline act FUNBOX, along with local acts including MOLLY MIXTURE, SUSI SWEETPEA, and DAFFY DILL.

Funbox is the brand new family show from Anya Scott-Rodgers, Gary Coupland and Kevin Macleod (the former stars of The Singing Kettle). At the heart of every show is the magical but mysterious FUNBOX, which contains everything you need to sing a song or have an adventure. The only trouble is it will only open up when a special key is found, but those keys have habit of getting lost. Can all the keys be found, and can you help us to find them? There will be a full FunBox show on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon – spaces will be allocated on a first come, first serviced basis.

Anya, Gary and Kevin from FunBox said we’re so excited to be coming to Youth Beatz this year and to meet all our FunBoxers, new and old, for the fantastic shows we have planned!”

Youth Beatz Kidz can be found in one of the Big Top Tents at Youth Beatz. Accompanying the fantastic live acts, there will also be a range of activities such as arts & crafts, pottery, soft play and the bubble zone.

Councillor Tracey Little Provost of Dumfries said The inclusion of Youth Beatz Kidz to the programme supports this event as one for all the family and we are so proud to be able to bring such quality acts to this event at no cost to those attending”

Free Youth Beatz tickets can be applied for now at www.youthbeatz.co.uk/tickets
