Youth Beatz Fringe – Something for Everyone

Youth Beatz Fringe with Choices for Life is coming back to Dumfries for its 3rd year running and will kick off on Saturday 6 August running for 7 days through to Thursday 11 August, finishing just in time for Youth Beatz on Saturday 13 August.

This year’s Fringe programme brings events to a wide range of venues in Dumfries Town Centre, North West Dumfries and Upper Nithsdale with a varied programme packed with something for everyone. Bringing the Fringe events into local communities means Nithsdale now has a 7 day festival with events for specific groups like young parents, young people with additional support needs and events for all.

Councillor Ted Thompson, who Chairs the Council’s Nithsdale Area Committee commented;

“Our Council is committed to giving our young people the best possible start in life.  Events like the Youth Beatz Fringe give young people opportunities to perform and learn new skills, and certainly help us achieve our commitment.  Youth Beatz Fringe grows every year and it’s fantastic to see the opportunities presented by the Fringe going out into the communities across Nithsdale. This year sees 7 action packed days of activities when local communities and their young people participate and learn from each other.  A big thank you to our Funders – Young Start for funding this year’s Youth Beatz Fringe Festival.”
