21 Year Old Farm Worker Dies In Quad Bike Accident

A 21-year-old female farm worker has been tragically killed a quad bike accident on a dairy farm just outside Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway.

Another worker on Gerranton Farm ran by Messrs JR Heuchan and Son, found the girl at midday on Wednesday 22nd of September, after the incident with the quad when she had gone to find a missing cow. Emergency services pronounced her dead at the scene.

An investigation by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Police Scotland has commenced.
