POLICE SCOTLAND are appealing for witnesses after the theft of sheep from a farm near Boreland of Parton, Castle Douglas, dumfries and Galloway.
On Monday 3rd February the farmer checked a field containing 78 ewes near to his home address on the Parton to Corsock Road and at this time all was in order with the sheep.
On the morning of Tuesday 4th February the farmer returned to the field to check the sheep where he discovered 25 were missing.
All sheep have a distinct red mark on their back near their heads and all were carrying with twins.
