£5000 QUAD BIKE STOLEN FROM FARM IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

Theft of quad bike – Holywood

Police Scotland is investigating the theft of a quad bike from a farm just north of the Holywood Garage, Holywood, Dumfries. The bike, a red coloured Honda with the registration number SF 15 MJJ, was stolen from outside a shed on the farm whilst the farm worker was in the dairy parlour milking. At around 1530 hours the farm worker heard a commotion outside and on investigating found the quad bike gone. The quad is valued at around £5000.

Constable Louise Kirkpatrick of Police Scotland at Dumfries said “this is a brazen theft which occurred in broad daylight and while work was being carried out on the farm. We want to hear from anyone who may have been driving on the A76 road just north of the Holywood Garage around 1530 hours yesterday to get in touch if they saw the quad on the road, or indeed anything suspicious that might help us catch those responsible. We can be contacted through the 101 number.”
