£650 RAM KILLED BY DOG NEAR LOCKERBIE

Sheep worrying – Lockerbie

Police officers at Lockerbie are investigating a case of sheep worrying which happened on the farm fields of Castlermilktown Farm at Lockerbie sometime between 1645 hours on Thursday 5 and 1530 hours on Friday 6 November 2015.

A black tup ram was found dead within the field and subsequent examination by a vet has indicated that the injuries found on the animal are consistent with those which would have been caused by a dog. The value of the animal is in the region of £650.

Constable Courtaney Adams at Lockerbie said “we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area of Castlemilktown on Thursday or Friday to get in touch through 101 if they saw any dogs in the area.”
