Police in Dumfries are appealling for information regarding a white Akita type dog believed to be responsible for worrying sheep in fields near to Nunholm Road, Dumfries, during the early afternoon on Thursday 13th July.
The dog apparently caused wounds to one lamb and caused another lamb to go into a state of shock due to stress of the incident.
Police are particularly keen to trace the driver of a black Corsa with yellow AA learner on the back of the car who may be able to identify the owner of the dog concerned.
