POLICE SUSPECT DOG TO BLAME AS SHEEP FOUND TORN TO PIECES

POLICE In Dumfries have issued a Graphic Video of a one year old sheep with it’s entire back end damaged, buy what they suspect is a dog.

The injured one year old sheep was found still alive by the farmer, but was so badly damaged that it had to be humanely put down. In the video the police officer Constable John Cowan states that dog owners need to be responsible and keep their pets under control when in the countryside and near livestock, as the damage that a loose dog can cause, causes distress for the animals and the farmers.

Police Stated on their facebook post “Only last week, Constable John Cowan attended the launch of the National Farmers Union Scotland #ControlYourDog on Farmland campaign.
This weekend he has dealt with another case of sheep worrying. It is the responsibility of the dog owner to ensure that they control of their dog on agricultural land. There’s no excuse!”
