Police Scotland officers at Lockerbie want the help of the public in an investigation involving the theft of ten sheep from fields near to Applegarth School, Lockerbie. The sheep appear to have been stolen sometime between Thursday 12 and Monday 16 January 2017. The farmer who owns the sheep checked them on Monday morning only to discover that ten were missing. The sheep are valued at around £1,500.

Constable George Clark at Lockerbie said “we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around Applegarth School over the weekend to think carefully if they saw or heard anything suspicious. Clearly a vehicle must have been used to remove the animals and so any unusual vehicle movements in this area we would be interested in. This are is popular with dog walkers and again we appeal to them to come forward if they can help us. We can be contacted at Lockerbie on the 101 number.
