Police Scotland have named the man who was killed in the fatal road traffic collision on the A74(M) near to Ecclefechan on Wednesday 1 May 2019 as 22 year old Craig McLaren a serving soldier from Eastriggs, near Annan.
The 22 year old was driving a Ford Fiesta, three tennage passengers who were travelling in the vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injures after a one vehicle collison on the A74(M) in Dumfries and Galloway last night.
Enquiries into the cause of the collision are still ongoing and the Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
