Essential Maintenance On The A701 At Tathhill Commences Monday 11th July

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential filter drain replacement on the A701 at Tathhill from Monday 11th July until Sunday 31st July 2022. Work will take place between the hours of 7am and 6pm, each day.

This scheme, with a value of £53,000, will benefit around 4,600 vehicles using this route each day, by improving drainage of the carriageway to prevent water pooling, increasing road user safety, and prolonging pavement life.

The work will be carried out using an installation of temporary traffic signals at this location. We thank road users for their patience while this essential maintenance in underway.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
