From here, traffic will take the first exit to join the A709 and will continue towards Lockerbie, through Torthorwald and Lochmaben, at Lockerbie, traffic will use the M74 to take the left slip road onto the B7076. At the A7068 roundabout, traffic will take the second exit to remain on the B7076 and at Beattock, traffic will be able to re-join the A701 and diversion will end.

Southbound traffic will follow the same route but in the reverse direction.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
