Jardine Family Take On 60 Mile Charity Challenge As A Tribute To Brooke

September is the Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and in memory of their daughter who sadly passed away in October 2019 after a near nine year battle with cancer, Dumfries family Gary Kirsty Jardine and Skye Jardine will be completing the Challenge 60 for Young Lives vs Cancer (each running 2 miles a day for 30 days)

Gary told DGWGO and to raise awareness of how important ‘challenge 60’ is and we know this all too well – ‘It is Brookes birthday on the 4th of September, and as a tribute to her we wanted to to raise awareness of how important ‘challenge 60’ is.”

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we know it is a 60-mile round trip on average for families when they are going through treatment (which is where Challenge 60 comes from!)

To help these families, Young Lives vs Cancer has 10 Homes from Home across the UK only a few minutes walk from treatment centres. We’re also opening a new home in Manchester!

These homes provide a free place to stay for families to stay, as long as they need, when their child is going through treatment.
